BLACKBX is the website service department from UnDigital (opens in a new tab): same company, same developers. Some clients send us one change a month. Others have a full team on their site every month. Our team works out of Sydney, the Sunshine Coast and Ho Chi Minh City, so there’s always someone on it.

How much does managed Silverstripe hosting cost in Australia?
With us, Full service is a fixed monthly price, quoted for your site after a 20-minute call. It covers the hosting, the server and our developers looking after the site. If you’re happy with your host, Maintenance starts at $840 a month + GST. Every plan is monthly with no minimum term.
What’s included in Silverstripe hosting and maintenance?
With BLACKBX, we host your site in Australian data centres, patch the server and run backups, with every run recorded. Our developers handle Silverstripe CMS, framework and module updates, patch security vulnerabilities, fix things when they break, and build new features, landing pages and content. Every change goes into a logbook you own.
Is the migration really included?
Yes. We move your site for you, with fifteen years of migrations behind us. Staged, tested, cut over, logged. If we break it moving it, we fix it, and that goes in the logbook too.
Where are your servers?
Your Silverstripe site is hosted in Australian data centres, close to your Australian visitors, and we patch the servers ourselves.
Why can’t Silverstripe go on ordinary shared hosting?
Silverstripe is assembled by Composer when it’s deployed, needs a build step that runs with the same settings as the site, and often relies on cron or queued jobs running in the background. Ordinary shared hosting often allows none of that. With us, the server and the site are looked after by the same team, so those pieces are set up and checked together.
What happens when the site goes down?
You have one number to call, and you don’t have to work out whose fault it is. We tell you what’s wrong, who’s on it and when the next update is, and it all goes in the logbook.
Can we keep our current developer or agency?
Yes. Our developers do the maintenance and yours can keep access. The access is granted and logged, and the logbook records our work.
Do you build new Silverstripe sites?
We look after sites that are already built. New builds and rebuilds are done by UnDigital (opens in a new tab), the build team behind BLACKBX, and launch straight into BLACKBX.
Is there a minimum term?
No. Monthly, no minimum term. The price you start on is the price you renew on.
